Maple Hill Cemetery Plots
At the Congregational meeting on November 2, 2003, the Cemetery Committee asked the congregation to purchase 46 plots at Maple Hill, Inc., which is the privately owned part of Maple Hill Cemetery. The plots are adjacent to plots that are currently owned by Temple members. The members of the congregation that were in attendance at the meeting voted to purchase the plots.
The Cemetery Committee proposed that the prices charged are as follows:
Temple Members:
November 2, 2003 – November 16, 2003: $1,485.50 each – if paid in full
November 17, 2003 – December 31, 2003: $1,600.00 – each paid out in 4 quarterly payments of $400.00 each over the next year.
January 1, 2004: $1,700.00 each paid out in 4 quarterly payments of $425.00 each over the next year.
All plots must be paid in full by December 31, 2005. This price will be locked in until January 1, 2006, at which time the cemetery committee will re-evaluate it.
Non Temple Members:
$3,400.00 each: Financing will not be available to non-temple members.

In addition to the plots at Maple Hill, Inc. that we will purchase, there are still 6 plots available for purchase in Twickenham.
The Guidelines for Funeral Arrangements and Mourning Practices of Temple B'nai Sholom, dated 1999 will govern your purchase. The Committee is in the process of revising these guidelines.
